Artificial Intelligence

It amazing how we(humans) do what we do. ain't it? Forget intelligence...we couldn't even get close to a machine that can walk with the balance and stability of human gait. Sure..a robot automates a process given the parameters. Its a pain to feed those parameters..it can't distinguish between holding a a glass and a piece of spongy ball. It can't look at the object and determine the grip it needs.

Coming to intelligence...first of all is it Doable? I mean transferring the scale of time in which we evolved into the last 50 years of research OR Is it that our mind just does a function call passing the parameters to another dimension (which we cannot envision) where things are processed and our mind receives the return value of a function call, which it then process minimally!!

and the thing is we can neither accept nor reject such a theory!! We need that meta knowledge to reason on the meta knowledge and its an endless recursion u see...

hmm interesting thought "tranferring the scale of time in which we evolved into the last 50 years of research".
Actually gripping is a very difficult thing to achieve because I don't think any other animal has grip(atleast not as good as humans do) and maybe it is due to the fact that gripping needs a lot of parameters. Such as knowledge of breaking point of the object being gripped, whether it is sensitive or not to the amount of pressure (deformity concerns), what is the approximate weight of the object, approximate location of the center of mass etc etc. And the "knowledge" of all this requires a hell lot of information to be avaiable before gripping takes place.
I think the most advanced tool in our body is our hand and has taken hundreds of thousands of years to evolve as it is today. Neural networks that we train for these robots hardly take a few minutes.

anyways ...do you recognize me ? I am Piyush Ranjan. Where are you these days ?

learning new things, not conceivable by us curently, is possible by machine or not? I think, it is not possible.

I think, you have put your feet into the domain of debate of soul.

Mind is really the function of some matter accumulated in some form or there is something more to it(non-physical) ? that's the real question.

My own opinion, after studying in microbiology about bacterial motion, is that it is 100% sure that something like soul exists. Because their motion says that they are thinking just like us!
it shows that there is something common in all of living beings.
